Adult Textile Arts Workshops
JOIN US FOR A FUN creative experience!
Come and explore your creativity by fully immersing yourself in the day’s textile technique. We will focus on process and experimentation, and not on creating a “perfect” final product. At the end of the workshop, you will bring home a wealth of new textile design knowledge and a natural fiber soft good that you have dyed, printed or assembled yourself. Christine’s art studio is located in her beautifully restored 19th c. carriage house and is located just 14 miles southwest of New York City in the historic and vibrant town of South Orange, New Jersey.

SUMMER 2022
BLOCK PRINTING | SAT JULY 23 | 10:00am - 12:30pm | $140
Learn all about block printing through instruction, demonstration and hands on practice. We will discuss the tools and techniques used for carving, inking, and stamping and will explore different repeat pattern arrangements. Each participant will leave with the rubber or linoleum block that they created as well as a printed natural fiber item of their choosing.
FABRIC & PAPER MARBLING | SAT AUGUST 13 | 10:00am - 12:30pm | $140
Learn the basics of the Suminagashi and ebru marbling techniques. The workshop will include instruction, demonstration and hands on practice. We will discuss what is required to prep fabric for printing and will explore various methods to create different marbled patterns. Each participant will leave with stationery and fabric that they have marbled.

SUMMER 2023
NEW ALL DAY PRINT RETREAT | SAT JUNE 8TH | 10:00am - 4:00pm | $395
Unwind, reflect and create. We will start our day off with a restorative mindfulness practice, setting intentions for our day of creative experimentation and play. You will then be guided through two mesmerizing printmaking techniques - block printing & shibori indigo dyeing. Expect to bring home various printed items for your home that you will use and enjoy for years to come. A nourishing, catered lunch will be served and participants will be invited to mix and mingle and enjoy a closing champagne toast to conclude our day. Safety Protocols

large barn doors will be left open (weather permitting) to allow for optimal air circulation. When barn doors are opened, masking is optional. In the event of inclement weather, windows will be opened, barn doors will be closed, and masks must be worn.

Six participant minimum required for workshop to run.
Workshop fee is refundable ONLY if cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the workshop. (Note: All day print retreat is non refundable)
In the event that you must cancel less than 30 days before the workshop, you can transfer workshop registration to another person.
Full refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation due to low enrollment.
